My Best Foot Forward
All my life, I heard the adage put your best foot forward. My best foot forward meant to me my unending love affair with my shoes. I love them from puberty to adulthood the flatties, the wedges, the stilettos, the block heels, the juttis and oh! the eternal sneakers with the latest fashion twist uber hot on the ramp, in the malls and everywhere.
It’s the mood that defines the shoe of the day. On the date I want to wear my high heels that immediately takes off inches away from the derrière and makes you look taller. In my case hell that’s a huge need. On a busy day a wedge brings in the much desired wedge between feeling in a certain way within but look like we are all under control.
And not to mention the juttis, it’s a dream to wear these handcrafted delicious Indian sensibility on your feet & the sexy kolhapuris with different colours & kolhapuris are now found with heels too. Thank you God for the creative, thinking designers who have introduced these absolute delights for the derrière.
These are a few of my favourite things pearl drops on juttis and whiskers on strappies, bright copper wedges and warm sexy flatties. If Julie Andrews sang this to women with this foot fetish fever. I wonder how many would drool into a pool of this love affair.
