This week on The Mohua Show, we have Sandip Soparrkar.

He is an Indian Latin and ballroom dancer, Bollywood choreographer, actor, columnist, dance reality show judge, Radio jockey and a Ted X speaker.

Shakira, Madonna, Beyoncé Knowles and Britney Spears, and soccer player Diego Madarona have all taken dance instruction from Soparrkar. Some of the biggest names in Bollywood, including Hrithik Roshan, Kajol, Tabu, Manisha Koirala, Sonam Kapoor, Neha Dhupai and Priyanka Chopra have also been his students.

Sandip, as a trained and qualified Ballroom Dance Teacher, is the first from India to be certified by the ‘Ballroom Dance Teachers Training School’ in Bonn, Germany. In fact, in 2004, Queen Elizabeth of England & The Prince of Wales, wrote personal letters of appreciation to Sandip for promoting Ballroom & Latin American dance culture in India.

He has been honoured with 3 National Excellence Awards and 1 National Achievement Award by the Government of India and he is also the recipient of the Rabindranath Tagore Literary Prize for Social Achievement.
